Playing & Coaching Experience:

Irene competed for the USA Beach Volleyball National Team on the FIVB, AVP and NORCECA Tours from 2014-2019. While traveling across six continents, Irene represented USA in 43 tournaments and finished in the Top 10, twenty-one times while medaling in eleven events and winning gold in three tournaments. On the AVP tour, she competed in 30 tournaments and finished in the Top 10 in twenty of them, including three appearances in the semifinals.   Before her transition to beach full-time, Irene played professionally indoors for two years in Switzerland and Poland. She competed for the TCU Volleyball team from 2007-2011. In 2009, Irene helped lead the Frogs to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance while leading the team in points, kills, aces and earned All-Conference honors multiple years.

As a coach, in 2018 Irene was the Volunteer Assistant on the UCLA Beach Volleyball staff under then Head Coach Stein Metzger (current UT Head Coach) and Associate Head Coach Jenny Johnson-Jordan (current UCLA Head Coach) where they won the NCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship.  "I knew I wanted to get into coaching at some point because this game is so special to me, and I want to share it with as many people as possible. It can provide you with countless opportunities, relationships, and life lessons. My goal is to help the next generation experience all of those things. I am very excited and thankful for this opportunity at Game On. I can't wait to help grow beach volleyball in Fort Worth and for the athletes to have this amazing facility to train at!"


Playing & Coaching Experience:

Majo Orellana is an experienced beach volleyball coach, mental performance specialist, and former professional athlete with a background in elite-level sports, athlete development, and performance coaching. She most recently served as the Associate Head Coach for TCU Beach Volleyball, where she helped lead the team to the 2025 Division I National Championship—the first in program history. During her tenure from 2018 to 2025, she played a key role in the program's rise into a nationally ranked powerhouse, guiding the team to consistent NCAA appearances, an NCAA Final Four, and three conference championships. She helped develop a strong team culture and coached eight All-Americans and two Olympians, contributing to the team's highest-ever end-of-season national ranking of No. 1 in 2025, along with multiple No. 1 weekly rankings in 2022, 2023, and 2025.

MaJo Orellana
Club Beach Director

Before transitioning to college coaching, Majo spent over a decade working with youth and high-performance athletes. As the Director of San Diego Beach Volleyball Club (SD Beach), she led the program to a BVCA National Club Championship and Power League Championship in 2016. She also founded and ran the College Prep Program, where she placed over 30 athletes in Division I beach volleyball programs before moving into the collegiate coaching world. Additionally, she served as Director at Coast Beach Volleyball Club, guiding young athletes to high finishes in USA High Performance Championships and international competitions. She also founded the first beach volleyball club in Central America, where she coached two athletes who competed in the FIVB U19 World Championships in 2012.

As an athlete, Majo competed for Guatemala's National Team in both indoor and beach volleyball. She served as the National Team Captain for over a decade and represented her country in two Olympic cycle qualification processes. She competed in four Pan American Games and one World Championship (2015), as well as numerous NORCECA and FIVB World Tour events. She won three Central American Championships (2006, 2007, and 2010) and earned a NORCECA silver medal in 2010. Additionally, she competed professionally on the AVP Tour from 2016 to 2018, gaining valuable experience at the highest levels of beach volleyball.

In addition to her work in coaching and athlete development, Majo has been actively involved in sports leadership and advocacy. She was a member of the Fair Play Commission for the Guatemalan Olympic Committee, promoting integrity and ethical standards in sports. She has also participated in the International Olympic Academy in Greece, completed the Sports Management Certification through Olympic Solidarity, and attended the World Anti-Doping Agency Coaches Seminar.

Majo's expertise extends beyond the court. She is a co-host of the D1 Coaches Pod, where she discusses coaching, athlete development, and the evolving landscape of collegiate sports with other top professionals in the field. She has also hosted two podcast series, Empowered with Faith and The College Prep Formula, which focused on mental performance, recruiting, and personal growth.

Born and raised in Guatemala, Majo is currently completing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at TCU, preparing for a future in performance counseling and mental skills coaching. With a background in marketing, PR, and holistic health, she combines her expertise in mental performance, leadership, and athlete development to help individuals and teams reach their full potential. She is also the founder of The Growth Performance, where she works with young and professional athletes on their mental performance, utilizing a holistic approach that prioritizes well-being and personal development.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Majo brings a global perspective and a deep passion for athlete mentorship, performance coaching, and personal growth. Whether through coaching, mentoring, or content creation, she is committed to helping athletes, teams, and professionals achieve success while maintaining balance and resilience.

Alexis is incredibly excited to be part of the Game On Beach Volleyball family and contribute to the growth of its positive and empowering culture! With years of high-level experience both nationally and internationally, Alexis is passionate about sharing what she's learned with the next generation of athletes and growing the sport in Fort Worth. She is also dedicated to making an impact in the sports world, working in sports marketing at a sports agency in Dallas.

Playing Experience

Alexis fell in love with beach volleyball while growing up in San Diego, starting at the age of 10. She played at Pepperdine University and TCU from 2018 to 2022, earning All-American honors and accumulating over

90 career wins. Alexis also competed internationally for Team USA, placing first at the ISF World Championships in Tahiti and fifth at the U19 World Championships in Cyprus. She's thrilled to bring her knowledge, experience, uplifting energy, and love for the game to the players at Game On Beach!

Grace is currently on the beach volleyball team at Texas Christian University and is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics. Grace has been playing beach volleyball since she was 10 years old and has loved it ever since. She is super excited to be a coach at Game On and share her knowledge and love for the sport.

Bio

Grace’s volleyball journey started indoors back in middle school, where she fell in love with the game. She continued her indoor career at Texas Wesleyan University, and in 2024, when TXWES launched its beach volleyball program, she jumped at the chance to try something new. During the team’s second season, they ranked 10th in the nation in the NAIA division! Grace recently graduated with a B.S. in Biology, and now she’s excited to help the next generation of athletes grow their skills, confidence, and love for beach volleyball. For her, the sport has been an amazing experience—and she can’t wait to share that with you!
